„Green Genius” 91 MW solar park

About project

Energia Futura is delivering a 91 MW solar park and 110/30 kV substation project in Lieponiai, Lithuania, developed by the renewable energy company Green Genius.

The solar park will cover an area of 145 hectares and feature more than 127,000 solar modules, 255 inverters and 11 modular transformer stations. The project incorporates a single-axis solar tracking system, designed to maximize solar energy capture and improve electricity generation efficiency.

Alongside the solar park, a 110/30 kV substation is being constructed to enable electricity transmission to the grid operated by Litgrid, Lithuania's transmission system operator. The scope includes electrical equipment installation, integration of relay protection, automation and control systems, and implementation of grid connection solutions.

Energia Futura acts as the general contractor, responsible for the entire project delivery – from construction and equipment installation to system commissioning, testing and connection to the electricity transmission grid.

Construction of the solar park and substation is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
