"Philip Morris Lietuva" solar park 1,85 MW
About project
Philip Morris Lietuva, operating in Klaipėda, was the first Philip Morris International factory worldwide to receive Carbon-Neutral certification in 2019. Since 2010, the company has reduced its CO₂ emissions by 47% through investments in modernization and energy-efficient solutions.
The Energia Futura team contributed to these efforts by installing a 1.85 MW solar power plant at the factory site, connected directly to its internal 10 kV network. All electricity generated is consumed on-site to support the factory’s 24/7 production processes.
The solution contributes to the factory’s strategic goal of increasing energy resilience and the share of electricity generated on-site.
The project features Trina Solar modules and Sungrow inverters, as well as a newly designed modular transformer substation and 10/0.8 kV switchgear. The control system solutions were implemented by TSPI.
